Selkirk continued their unbeaten run in this season’s Border T20 Cup with an eight-wicket victory over St Boswells at The Green on Friday night.
Fielding first, Skipper Greg Fenton took the opportunity to give Selkirk’s younger players a chance in the spotlight, with 15-year-olds Gregor Borthwick and Shaun Wilkinson opening the bowling for the visitors.
Both players repaid their captain’s faith with tidy spells – Borthwick (2/14) taking his wickets in consecutive balls, with Wilkinson (1/9) in equally impressive form. Selkirk’s other wicket-takers were Ashley Robertson (1/15) and Jamie Hughes (2/7).
