QUIZ NIGHT GIVES WELCOME BOOST TO CHATSWORTH TOUR FUNDS

Saturday’s quiz night, held to raise funds for this month’s tour to Chatsworth, proved a big success. Special thanks go to quizmaster Harry Murphy for setting the questions and to the players for organising such an enjoyable evening. A total of 18 teams took part, with the Simple Minds team emerging as narrow winners after a tie-break question – how many words does the novel “War and Peace” contain?*

Pictured are team members Craig & Carlene Clifford and Julie & Bob Wilkinson, who generously donated their £60 prizemoney to the players’ tour fund.

* Answer: 587,287 words
