The All Stars/Dynamos sessions are now three weeks away. These will run on a Friday afternoon from the 4th June. We have had some contact from parents about registering online. Having run these programmes in the past we are confident that your information is confidential and the ‘stripe’ payment process is secure. However, we are also offering a confidential and secure registration process through the club. This will also allow us to be true to our ‘pay what you can’ offer. Dear Members

I am pleased to announce the opening of Selkirk Cricket Club beer garden on Thursday 29th April at 5pm.

Due to the Government restrictions, the beer garden facilities will be open to members only; we hope to relax this in the near future and we will also provide further details as to when we are able to welcome members indoors; this is provisionally from 17th May.

The indoor club area will be closed unless for toilet access. Face coverings must be worn inside.

For the safety of you and our staff, we will be operating on the social distancing rule of 2 metres. For your further protection, sanitising stations will be provided in the ladies and gents toilets and at a number of other areas.

Table service will be provided. Table service includes ordering, consumption and payment (contactless card transactions are preferred).

We will be registering the dates you visit our club facilities and we will also take this opportunity to make sure we have all your correct member contact details.

The opening hours are:

Monday to Wednesday – Closed

Thursdays – 5pm to 9pm

Fridays – 5pm to 10pm

Saturdays – 11am to 10pm

Sundays – 12:30pm to 9:00pm

Outside seating is limited and please remember that it is Strictly Members Only.

Senior Cricket (14+) – training has restarted Thursday evenings starting at 6pm – all new players and returners welcome. We have arranged the following friendly fixtures prior to the release of league fixtures:

Saturday 1st May – Galashiels (Away) – 30 Overs

Saturday 8th May – Hawick (Home) – 20/20

Saturday 15th May – Peebles (Home) – 30 Overs

Junior Cricket – we plan to offer something for all age groups over the summer starting with taster sessions for P4 to P7 pupils from all Selkirk primaries. These are after school sessions between 3.30 and 5pm and will take place at the club on 5th and 12th May. Please keep an eye on our Facebook pages for other opportunities.

Please note that we are looking to expand membership of the committee. We would welcome any notes of interest from those looking to give something back or just looking to play a part in the development of the club. In the next year we will be looking to recover and rebuild both on and off the field.

Selkirk Cricket Club Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Dear Members

Selkirk Cricket Club’s AGM is due on or around February 2021.

Due to the current COVID – 19 restrictions and that the club’s constitution states that the notice for an AGM shall be a minimum of 21 days, we will be unable to hold the AGM this month.

The management committee will continue to review the situation and will keep our members informed via our website and social media.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself or a member of the committee.
