Running Thursdays after school (4pm start) until 5pm down at the cricket club – all high school pupils welcome but older (14+) pupils may want to attend the later senior session (starting at 6pm). This junior session would also be suitable for those who attended the Dynamo’s sessions last summer.

We are also arranging a taster session for those interested in coming along to the All Stars (5 to 8 year olds) and Dynamos (8 to 11 year olds) programmes – you can already book on to these programmes but you may prefer to attend the taster session first before you pay. The taster sessions will take place on the 29th April – 3pm for All Stars and 4pm for Dynamos. Both programmes will then start on the 13th May running through to the 8th July (with a break for the common riding!).

In 1872 we played our first match at Philiphaugh – 150 years later we are still providing a pitch envied by many and a setting for cricket second to none. This is a year to celebrate what has gone before by continuing to put out a competitive team and develop cricket for all. We appreciate all who continue to pay their subs and those who dig deep to support a small club like ours. We recognise the challenges faced by families in Selkirk and have kept membership genuinely affordable.

Winter nets are off to a good start at Selkirk HS with some great young talent on show. Always room for more players so get along 4pm on Wednesdays – running all the way to the Easter Holidays. (S1/2/3/4 and P6/7 all welcome).

Running Wednesdays at Selkirk HS Games Hall from 12th January until Easter

4-5pm – Juniors – all high school pupils welcome but older (14+) pupils may want to attend the later senior session. The junior session would also be suitable for P7 pupils and those who attended the Dynamo’s sessions in the summer.

6-7pm – Senior Winter Nets – This will be an opportunity for older pupils to join senior players as they get ready for the new season. New players of all ages are always welcome.

These sessions will of course be subject to any restrictions and measures required as a result of the pandemic. We will refer to the guidance produced by Cricket Scotland
